Stairs, whether internal or external, can be notoriously dangerous when it comes to slipping. Our ‘industrial grade’ GRP stair nosing and GRP tread have been designed to reduce such slip risks, and increase visibility of individual steps to partially sighted people.
The difference between the two products is that GRP tread covers the entire step area overlapping the edge onto the riser, while GRP stair nosing is a smaller profile designed to neatly fit on the edge of the step.
Both feature a silicon carbide surface which gives the products their superior underfoot grip properties, even in wet, oily, or icy conditions. GRP stair nosing is available in bright yellow, and with stair treads there is the option of black/yellow and black/white, meeting DDA colour visibility requirements.
Heavy-duty anti-slip GRP tread and stair nosing can be used for interior or exterior applications, and can make a real difference when it comes to reducing slip hazards and generally increasing safety underfoot on industrial or public stairways. They are straightforward to fit and require little ongoing maintenance when used outdoors.
