Coba’s Premier Matting Stands The Test

Coba’s Premier Plus and Premier Track entrance matting systems have out-performed other established brands with similar characteristics in a recent wear ageing test conducted by SATRA.

SATRA tested four different entrance matting systems using the Lisson tretrad test apparatus (a four footed wheel, the feet of which are fitted with calibrated rubber soles) to compare ageing by means of wear abrasion in accordance with ISO 12951: 1999 Textile Floor Coverings – Determination of mass loss using the Lisson test (Modified).

The matting samples were measured for initial mass and thickness, and this recording was repeated every 100 cycles. After 2000 cycles both Premier Plus and Premier Track recorded minimal average mass loss ranking first and second respectively ahead of the two non-Coba branded products used in the test comparison. Recordings of average mass loss were just 0.10% for Premier Plus and 0.39% for Premier Track compared with 0.60% and 1.22% for similar competitor products.

Coba’s Premier Plus Tiles entrance matting system features flexible and durable PVC tiles with a high quality dirt-scrapping needlepunch carpet insert. The tiles simply clip together to cover any floor area and can be easily cut to shape if necessary. Individual tiles (30cm x 45cm) can be replaced with ease making this a cost-effective, yet versatile entrance mat system for commercial locations. The system can be installed into footwells or used as a loose lay mat with optional bevelled edging.

Premier Track entrance matting is available in rolls and similar to Premier Plus incorporates is manufactured from flexible PVC with a high quality nylon carpet insert. The 0.9m wide rolls can be installed side by side for neat insertion into footwells.

Both Premier Plus Tiles and Premier Track are easy to clean – simply roll up and vacuum.
